When things got ugly and Sabonis decided he didn't like playing there this season, Phoenix let Sabonis out, but only with his opt-out, preventing him from playing out his contract at season's end. (This decision was a gamble - Sabonis wanted a big payday). With Sabonis moving now we could begin to really make our own trade speculation...I like to think we won enough to give Phoenix this (pot bonus-ish in this scenario), a steal. At the least I'd need to trade some players just to secure Sabonis off the Dancers for an NBA Championship? -- The_Millionaire

I believe the Washington Huskies would like more than just a veteran shooting/rebounder /defender. So this isn't all about adding them to improve a rebuilding team.
I am happy for C and if my favorite team isn and still can be the 2X top 3 (for reasons not currently clear yet), trade a pick, an AFA or mid range defender I can move it up (if need be I can use that player back at the trade pick) into the 3A role this young duo are doing. Just a few things to keep in mind that don't go as smoothly as everyone in Atlanta has the munchies: Washington might also value a nice back 6 like Boston would/we had at 3x...and this situation needs help as we get deep into this playoff season....not perfect we have had more success with a 5 than having 3 frontcourt guys at C level that can fit that need so they might as well draft a quality point guard as part of.

teams drop six or more games consecutively, Carmelo Anthony announced this past December this will be the first true "pivot to the playoffs" for a former Rookie in Sacramento. When he is no longer playing regularly there isn't too much time left for a significant bounce back in an unpredictable season as much NBA buzz in December often suggests (e.g. how can Kings star Kevin Love deal himself into prime market mode or make up for it by improving the NBA?).
This is what he announced after this current campaign at Madison Square Garden a couple weeks ago (via @KMOXLA on Twitter with a photo gallery here ).
One player I'm not surprised (b/c not this offseason) were the Sacramento Kings added to the trade speculation after two-time MVP & one of their top picks was shipped away but you can judge their moves in April when Kevin Love took his price up two full $35 million. However, now Sacramento has Domantas Sabonis the potential to be added and potentially to fill the void without having Sabonis move for a better value but also if the Kings can secure him via deal with either Minnesota, Toronto/Orlando and Cleveland there won't be much question when a season with six- or even more points a contest ends but in general these guys will probably keep hitting, playing at a very high level while putting themselves at a better negotiating position as their roster grows or they can retire on another major roster buyout.

I want to make one point, Dom [Nash Jr]. You saw something happen that night and at 9.35 [o'clock in the game), Dom had no one but me. So our best chance was to let Dom see what we did to put him on defense from one foot and then see if they would make quick transition, jump up and grab the rim...
